General Programme Manager, ENERGUS.
Since Adrienne started at Energus in December 2012 as Finance Manager, her journey has been immense. She arrived to Energus with very little knowledge of the Skills & Education sector or the nuclear industry.
In 2015, when the Executive Director of Energus moved on, Adrienne approached the Energus Board and asked them to consider her for General Manager. The rest is history.
In the last three years, Adrienne has taken on new challenges and moved the organisation onward and upward. Taking on management of the Skills and Education programmes was one of her biggest challenges. Managing 70+ graduates was very different from her days of Profit & Loss and spreadsheets.
However, being a people person and using her business acumen she fell into the role and learned on the job. Continually improving customer satisfaction scores and positive feedback from graduates, stakeholders, training providers and the industry as a whole, inspired her to ask ‘What else’?
The past 18 months has seen Energus launch a selection of STEM, apprenticeship and graduate programmes as well as offering bespoke support services to the industry and sharing good practices. Adrienne believes that collaboration with other organisations is crucial, to gain further knowledge and fresh ideas to share between other institutes.
