Help us brighten up your local train station, Derby Road. From each school that takes part, we will display a first place and second place poster.
Winners or our competition will win free 1st class tickets for themselves and their family. There are lots of other goodies on offer, including for those shortlisted.
The broadcast will set you a special mission: create a poster that will make people smile at Derby Road Station. We have all had a strange and difficult year. We need your help to make passengers smile again. That’s what kids are best at after all!
The broadcast will give you all the information you need to make your posters. It will show that using trains is fun, easy, safe and good for the environment. Your mission will be to create a poster that passes this message to others.
This project is supported by Network Rail, East Suffolk Lines Community Rail Partnership and Greater Anglia who run your local train service. We all want to link up with your schools now and in the future to promote fun, safe and simple train use for young people.
East Suffolk Lines Community Rail Partnership will display shortlisted entries from the participating schools on East Suffolk Lines social media (all posts will be moderated by ESLCRP). Public votes will be counted up by ‘likes’ for each shortlisted entry. Get all your friends & family on board and ready to vote for yours!
Enter the competition by submitting your A4 poster to your school along with an entry and consent form. See the resources tab for the terms and conditions.
The East Suffolk Lines Community Rail Partnership will make it as easy as possible for schools to participate. Paper entries can be collected from schools on arrangement. Entries must have child’s first name, class, age and school on the reverse. The East Suffolk Lines Community Rail Partnership will contact winners and those shortlisted via the child’s school.
Once you have watched the broadcast, you will have received your special mission. ARE YOU READY? STEADY, GO!….
