About Radiography
Radiography is an imaging technique using X-rays, gamma rays, or similar radiation to view the internal form of an object. To create the image, a beam of X-rays or other form of electromagnetic radiation is produced by an X-ray generator and is projected toward the object.
Nick Woznitza
Radiographer
Nick is a consultant radiographer and clinical academic, with joint appointments at Homerton University Hospital and Canterbury Christ Church University. Both his clinical and research interests are focused on clinical reporting by radiographers and improving patient outcomes by maximising the role of diagnostic radiographers.
I qualified as a diagnostic radiographer in Australia in 1999, moving to the UK in 2005. During my career I have held various posts, including CT and Emergency leadership positions. I completed my first postgraduate programme in 2007 and now provide clinical reports for skeletal, chest and neonatal X-rays.
Dan Clough
Radiographer
I began my career in Radiotherapy in 2014 at St Luke’s Cancer Centre within the Royal Surrey County Hospital Trust. For the first 3 years I worked as a treatment radiographer, progressing from a junior to senior radiographer within that time. Over the last 2 years I have moved to the education team within our department. Working with the undergraduate students that train with us as well and working with the education of the post graduate staff. In order to maintain my treatment skills I work in the treatment team 1 day a week.
