The Pledge Partnership puts employers at the heart of inspiring, informing and communicating with the next generation of employees in Cheshire and Warrington.
The Pledge Partnership enables businesses to work together with educators to provide every young person living, studying and/or working in Cheshire and Warrington with everything they need to succeed in the world of work. With the opportunity to develop employability-related skills and personal qualities whilst in education, there is a choice of employment, training or further education when they leave school.
Employers can work directly with young people, teachers, parents, carers and youth workers to help the local community identify the employment opportunities available.

|The lockdown caused by the Covid-19 pandemic has left students facing the potential of a very long break away from school/college. It is tempting to view this time as an elongated summer holiday and therefore a time to relax, but this newly available time gives enormous opportunity to build your knowledge about academic pathways, e.g. college or university, as well as the opportunity to explore the world of work. Why not explore apprenticeships – they offer the best of both worlds and you get a salary too!
The current lock-down gives a very rare opportunity for students to focus on and build important transferrable skills too:
– Plan your days
– Manage your time effectively
– Set yourselves goals
– Reflect – did you achieve your goals?
– Research – have you developed your knowledge about employers?
– Communications – contacted an employer about work experience?
So, what have you got to lose? Get cracking and learn about the exciting world of work that awaits you!
