VODA is a registered charity (number 1075060) and company limited by guarantee (number 3703221) that provides support, advice, training and information to volunteers and voluntary and community organisations operating in North Tyneside.
VODA works to support and develop the voluntary and community sector by providing a wide range of support services and by representing the views of the sector to government and policy makers on a local and national level.
We work with groups that are based or have members living or working in North Tyneside. If you work outside North Tyneside, contact NAVCA to find your nearest Council for Voluntary Services.
Membership of VODA is open to any voluntary, community and social enterprise organisation with a written governing document, operating in North Tyneside. VODA members:
- receive discounted training
- can vote at our AGM and be elected to VODA’s Board of Directors
Becoming a member of VODA also helps to strengthen the voice of the sector in North Tyneside, helping to increase our influence in decision making and ensuring the sector is represented at a strategic level.
Even if you are not eligible to be a full member of VODA, you may wish to register to be included on our Community Database. This helps us to let people know about your organisation and the work you do and enables you to access our information and other resources. We involve a number of volunteers in our work – both through the social action projects we deliver and within VODA itself.
