We are currently recruiting for a Duty Manager to join our Hospitality Team within our Airport Lounge Team.

This is an exciting role where you will manage the delivery of the lounge service to ensure it attains the highest professional standards, culinary excellence and complies with all legislative requirements including compliance with health and safety legislation including food hygiene and serving alcohol.
You will be responsible for the Lounge day to day operations; supporting the achievement of budget targets by effectively managing the lounge team on shift and direct management of a team of colleagues.
Principal Accountabilities:
•To support the delivery of the business objectives and deliver high standards of service within the lounge.
•Stock management and ensuring product is closely managed to minimise wastage.
•Accountable for the rotation of stock to ensure product is utilised in the correct order to avoid wastage.
•Responsible for the correct storage of stock and ensuring appropriate storage checks are undertaken eg fridge temperature checks.
•Ensuring stock takes are undertaken at appropriate intervals and correctly reported.
•Ordering of stock, ensuring adequate stock is maintained whilst carefully managing costs to minimise value held.
•Processing and managing the supply invoices for the lounge in line with MAG policies and procedures, ensuring values are within the approved sign off limit.
•Accountable for the legislative requirements of the Lounge, including Health & Safety, food hygiene and serving Alcohol.
•To support the development of a high performing team capable of delivering an exceptional lounge customer service, with direct line management of a team of colleagues.
•Ensuring the team is maintained through effective recruitment supported by timely delivery of vetting.
•Accountable for ensuring staff are fully engaged with the lounge and MAG and maintaining effective relationships with Trade Union representation.
•Completing MAG performance development reviews and objective setting for direct reports.
•Managing the Bar and alcohol service for our guests.
•Managing the lounges social media communications
Knowledge, Experience and Skills:
•A solid background in the hospitality sector, with a proven track record of high end delivery.
•Experience of managing catering teams either in house or via contracted providers.
•Analytical skills with a solution orientated approach to deliver on budgets.
•A solid understanding of the hospitality market.
•Successfully managed budgets, capable of prioritising spend, driving profit and identifying cost efficiencies.
•Experienced in dealing with HR issues to include grievance and performance management.
•Computer literacy on mainstream PC applications including Microsoft office.
•Ability to lead, inspire and motivate a diverse team with fairness and empathy, having courageous performance discussions as appropriate.
•Able to create a culture of results within a high pressured environment through a strong team spirit, instilling a hunger to be part of a winning team. Is highly organised in working style, prioritising, scheduling and delegating with skill.
•Food Hygiene level 3 or above would be an advantage.
