As a Support Worker you will promote positive health and well-being of the people that you support, enabling them to have a meaningful life and be involved in a range of activities which include:
Gardening & Horticulture

Cooking and Baking
Drivers are preferable but not essential
At Autism Initiatives we work alongside people with autism, providing specialist services tailored to each individual. Experience is not essential, but a genuine passion for providing person centred support as well as a positive attitude, is key to being successful in this role.
In return, we will provide you with ongoing training and development, including supporting you to obtain your Diploma Level 2 qualification in Adult Care. This is a truly rewarding role, with the opportunity for you to develop your skills and knowledge and fulfil your career aspirations. Given the nature of this role, successful applicants will be subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure, the cost of which will be met by Autism Initiatives.
Throughout the COVID 19 pandemic we continue to prioritise the safety of our staff and people with autism; we are working together to make sure that we reduce risk of infection and support everybody’s wellbeing as we go through this challenging time.
At the moment, our interviews are being conducted remotely to minimise risk and ensure we are adhering to government guidelines. Autism Initiatives provide staff with appropriate PPE to ensure the safety of our staff and people with autism and reduce the risk of infection.
From October 2021 following Parliamentary approval and a subsequent 16 week grace period, anyone working in a CQC registered care home in England for residents requiring nursing or personal care, must have had 2 doses of a COVID-19 vaccine, unless they have a medical exemption.
