The position is initially a 6 month temporary contract but this ma be extended.
As a Senior, you will combine supervising Support Workers with providing direct support to four ladies with learning disabilities, and autism aged between 18 and 50.
Some of the people who live here will require assistance with personal care and eating and drinking, they also have some behaviours of concern that will require your support.
You’ll develop rotas, supervise staff, become involved in the recruitment, selection and induction of new staff, and generally ensure a high standard of practice in the service. You will work closely with the staff team, leading by example to ensure the people we support are living a life that makes sense to them. You’ll encourage your team and identify training needs, whether that’s formally or by way of day-to-day coaching and reflection. This role is 30 hours a week, and you’ll take your turn working shifts on a 24×7 rota.
