In this role you will be responsible for Construction Delivery at our Airports including: HSE, Risk Management, Cost, Schedule & Quality. Working in a collaborative manor with all Capital Delivery Colleagues and Stakeholders you will oversee delivery and act as the first point of contact for all MAG Framework Contractors. You will also be required to provide Construction Management support from GW0 to GW6 within all assigned Capital work and work with Senior Project Managers to support the principle of “The Invisible Builder” for all Capital Projects.
Principle Accountabilities also include:
On site supervision of all MAG capital projects to ensure, safe, secure, and quality delivery of construction activities.
Assist in the development of construction operation and logistics strategies for all capital projects.
Definition and monitoring of construction delivery elements of project CSR plans.
Assist in the selection and management of the delivery partners, either framework or otherwise, who will provide best value for the business from a group perspective, leveraging where possible from standardisation of product and approach.
Develop delivery strategies to meet customer and stakeholder operational needs and constraints, protecting the business from operational and commercial disruption.
Support other members of the Capital Delivery team, ensuring constructability, quality, delivery efficiency and logistics considerations are adequately considered at project gateway reviews.
Support with the selection of delivery partners with the right capabilities to deliver safe, sustainable value for the business in consultation with Contracts and Procurement.
Review MAG Pre-Construction Information to ensure that it is adequate for the scale of project and assist Project Managers in preparing a high standard of relevant HSE Hazard information that sets the scene for a safe project.
Represent MAG at the Site Progress meetings, ensuring focus on maintaining high H&S standards, quality and overall performance.
As a Construction Manager, you will also be accountable for HSE Specific Responsibilities Inc:
Quality of Pre-Construction Information completeness and content from Asset records for historic H&S File information.
Ensuring completeness of the Designers’ Risk Register and contribution to the Design Risk Meetings.
Review adequacy of the Construction Phase Plans.
Maintain register of F10s and monitor expiry dates.
Manage the Safe Start process for the site to ensure that the construction phase is fit to commence and fully compliant.
Conduct regular site inspections.
Review H&S File Part 1 for completeness and accuracy; coordinate the PA3 Process with Assets stakeholders.
Oversee construction site incident investigations to ensure that they reach appropriate root causes and remedial actions.

Desirable – Degree and/or Post-Graduate qualified or equivalent
Professional affiliation (e.g.: RICS; APM; CIOB; RIBA, ICE or similar) or working towards.
Experience of the construction, test and commission and handover phases of infrastructure projects across the full range of project size and complexity.
A minimum of 5 years’ experience of project delivery in complex, operational, safety regulated environments.
Excellence in project delivery from explore through concept development and project implementation.
Organisation leadership, delivery through others, influencing without direct control.
Project development from explore through to project implementation.
Large and small greenfield and brownfield project delivery in mature assets.
