Python Developer Trainee (working from home)

We’re excited to be hiring a Python Developer Trainee to join our growing team. This role is only available to people eligible to work as part of the Government’s Kickstart Scheme.

What’s the kickstart scheme?

Kickstart offers an opportunity of a 6 month work placement (25 hours a week), accessible to young people aged 16-24 who are in receipt of Universal Credit and at risk of long-term unemployment.

What you’ll be doing

Your responsibilities will include:

Writing effective and scalable Python codes
Designing and implementing robust applications
Debugging applications to ensure low-latency and high-availability
Integrating user-facing elements with server-side logic
Implementing security and data protection
Accommodating various data storage solutions
Operating within the Company Values

Job requirements

You will need to have:

A degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
Prior experience as a Python Developer
Good knowledge Django, Flask or similar Python frameworks
Familiarity with front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
Knowledge of ORM (Object Relational Mapper)
Familiarity with various testing tools.

What are the working hours?
You’ll work 25 hours per week. The times will be agreed between us upon joining.

Where is this role based?
You’ll be working full-time from home. This is UK only.
